Malmö's Men Go in Search of Title

Malmö GAA go to Helsinki this Saturday in search of their first men’s title since 2009. The last round of the Nordic Championship sees battling it out. With Malmo’s men sitting top of the table, hopes are high of the Nordic trophy heading back down south.

Malmö put themselves in a great position with a great performance in the 2nd round of the Nordic Championship in Copenhagen. The men from Skåne put 6-14 past Copenhagen on their own turf with just 0-2 in reply from the Danes. This was a much needed result after the performances in Oslo in the 1st round to result in the desired position.

With confidence high among the squad, the men will hope to build on their last outing. Depending on how things go, a third place finish could even see Malmö lift the trophy since their success in the club’s first year of existence.

A strong Helsinki team will no doubt want to stop Malmö GAA and win their first Nordic Championship on their own home ground. The competition won’t stop there with the old rivals from Stockholm being out to top the table for the second year in a row. But it will be Malmö’s men who will be going into today’s tournament with the most confidence of bringing home the Nordic Championship.
